Would love a restack in case there are other interested readers who might want to read the whole story from the beginning without backtracking!

I always love your writing, Lisa. You've pulled me in so I can hear the strokes of paddles through the water and far-off water birds you'd not even needed to mention. With the orchestra tuned up, I can't wait for the story now.

This promises to be absolutely fascinating. I look forward to the next instalment. And I love your biblical analogy for the Bay of Fundy. It is extraordinary!

You already know the canned history... I did a lot more research and the story is even more fascinating and layered than we knew.

Love this!

Jacques Bourgeois/Jeanne Trahan, Pierre Arsenault/Marguerite Dugas, Pierre Cyr/Marie-Francoise Bourgeois, sons Charles and Germain Bourgeois, and Roger Caissie/Marie-Francoise Poirier -- all my ancestors.

The Poiriers were another contentious clan there.

Looks like your Pierre Morin married the daughter of Catherine Vigneau,(Pierre Martin) who was my Maurice Vigneault's great-aunt. (The Vigneaults are the branch that obsess me). So we're back again at the cousinage, heh?

I have a feeling I know who's coming next (: The Caissie/Poirier daughter Marie would also be my ancestor.

I am retelling the story because I found more first hand French sources that reveal an even weirder story than I knew. No spoilers for the others!!! LOL. You’ve got some tough blood in your veins!

Eager to learn what you've found!

Who knew that cussedness was genetically transmissible? (:

Gives you an idea of what other Frenchmen were doing on the other side of the world! I know the King would eventually learn the name of Beaubassin, but that's getting ahead of the story.
