Once the accusation is made, there can be no other convincing explanation for what happened in the past. The tension mounts and so do witness statements!

What do you make of Le Neuf’s own pilot testifying to something he’d heard third hand? That’s an unwilling witness compelled to say *something.*

Sounds like the game of telephone...by the time the message goes round the circle it's not the same as the one that started...maybe Cochu himself wanted to come up with something, but had only rumors to share?

Me, too. I think Le Neuf did him dirty, arresting him so late in the season and then foot dragging.
